How to Submit Your Item to the Chai-Lite
In order to make sure your event or article makes it into the next Chai-Lite, please submit no more than 75 words of text and photos (if any) by Tuesday at midnight to eblasts@templebethdavid.com. Please specify that the submission is for the Chai-Lite and put the topic or event name in your subject line and indicate in your message how many weeks you’d like it to run. The text that you want to appear in the main body of the Chai-lite should be unformatted, but include any links to external sources that you want included. We discourage flyers, but if you do need to send a form or attachment, it must be in pdf format. Please do not include your personal phone number of email address.

TBD Meeting Norms
Ben Zoma says: Who is the wise one? He who learns from all men, as it says, “I have acquired understanding from all my teachers” (Talmud, Pirkei Avot 4:1)
We recognize that everyone has valuable insights and ideas. Meetings and other gatherings are times when we can share ideas, develop policies, engage in difficult conversations, and strategize for the betterment of TBD. Following a Leadership Seminar facilitated by URJ, one of the outcomes was to develop a set of Meeting Norms. The Board developed and voted on Meeting Norms for TBD. We felt it important that meetings and possible other gatherings, would be more efficient and effective with guidelines. These guidelines could help each of us, as Ben Zoma so wisely implied, learn from everyone.
Please click here for our new Meeting Norms. It is the intent of the Board that these be used at Board, Congregational, committee, and other meetings so that we can learn from everyone in a respectful and efficient manner.
