לֵ֣יל שִׁמֻּרִ֥ים הוּא֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה לְהוֹצִיאָ֖ם מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם הֽוּא־הַלַּ֤יְלָה הַזֶּה֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה שִׁמֻּרִ֛ים לְכָל־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לְדֹרֹתָֽם׃
That was for YHVH a night of vigil to bring them out of the land of Egypt; that same night is YHVH’s one of vigil for all the children of Israel throughout the ages.
May we remember that YHVH guarded us with care on the night the Destroyer stalked the land of Egypt, and now that another plague stalks our world, struggle as we do to trust and believe, may we find and retain our faith that YHVH’s vigilance will carry us through yet again and for all time.
